Remember Uncle Vernon of the famous Harry Potter films? That’s our Richard Griffiths. He was an English actor that won the Laurence Olivier Award, the Outer Circles Award, the Tony Award, and the Drama Desk Award all for his sterling performance in The History Boys. The fat British role actor Richard Griffiths came from radio stations and the classical stage. He established an earlier reputation among Shakespeare’s clowns.

His life is more portrayed than Henry VIII, “Windsor Falstaff in “The Merry Wife” and “Night Dream” by the Royal Shakespeare Company in “Midsummer” are just some of his outstanding achievements. He also starred in many other films including Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Battling with a heart condition, Richard suffered complications from a heart surgery which led to his death in 2013 at the age of 65. The industrious actor provided well for himself while alive such that he had no bankruptcy complications. He also provided well for his family with his well-funded insurance plans.
