The American actor made his film debut with Winter A-Go-Go in 1965, from there; there was no looking back as he starred in various other films like The Breakfast Club, Die Hard and Trading Places.
He made his exit in the film industry with his role as a sheriff in Abominable. He has appeared in two films selected by the Library of Congress as the National Film Registry, which have “cultural, historical or aesthetic” significance. Sadly, he was diagnosed with unusual lung cancer which he developed from working with asbestos as a teenager. He passed away in 2006 at 67.
