CHARLOTTE RAE
Charlotte Rae Lubotsky was one of the longest-lasting actresses in history, having stayed active in the industry for over 60 years. She was known to millions all over the world as Edna Garrett, a part she played on two shows: Diff’rent Strokes. Charlotte was also an amazing voice actress, and some of her notable voice artist gigs were in 101 Dalmatians: The Series and in Tom and Jerry: The Movie.
Charlotte died in 2018 at the age of 92. She had a wide and strong history of pancreatic cancer, the same disease her mother, uncle, and sister lost the battle to. When she was diagnosed with the medical condition in 2009, she was able to come out of it and became cancer-free after six months of chemotherapy. However, her son Larry confirmed that her cancer spread to the bones, which caused her death. She left a good legacy and credit reports to ensure that her family will follow her example.
