Popular for playing Chrissy in the 1995 film Now and Then, Ashleigh Aston Moore also appeared in shows like Northern Exposure, Madison, and Strange Luck. The actress also starred in films like Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain, The Grave, and A Friend’s Betrayal. In 1995, she was then awarded a YTV Achievement Award in the acting category. However, the child star’s life was cut short by pneumonia and bronchitis.

It has been a trend for child stars who are left unsupervised in the entertainment industry to fall into unwanted vices. This case was true for Ashleigh as she had been a constant user of different substances that caused her to be dependent. She died at the age of 26 because of an overdose.
