Michael Landon

Born as Eugene Maurice Orowitz, Michael Landon is a notable actor, producer, and writer of his time. During high school, he participated in sports, particularly in javelin throwing, which earned him a scholarship to USC. Unfortunately, he got injured, which ended his athletic career, and in order to make ends meet, he tried acting. He was given two significant roles in The Legend of Tom Dooley, and I Was a Teenage Werewolf.

Slowly, his name would spread in the industry and he was then approached by a producer to star in The Restless Gun. Michael also portrayed Little Joe Cartwright, the youngest of three brothers, in Bonanza. His character was the perfect epitome of rebellious cocky youth who always found ways for the ladies. Due to his acting career, he was able to pay for his bills – gas, electricity, housing, and anything else he needed. Michael is now enjoying his eternal rest, but his legacy will stay.
