Joe Williams
Joe Williams is a singer from the 1950s. He is known for his mastery of blues and ballads, and his association with Count Basie. It was in the 50s when he made his recording debut. In order to fulfill his passion, he also joined the clarinetist Jimmie Noone. However, he had his breakthrough when he started working with Basie. They have records like Every Day I Have the Blues, which helped Basie’s band make a comeback, which also made him famous.
Over his stay with Basie, he made other viral hits like The Comeback, Going to Chicago, and Alright, Okay, You Win. Other than Basie, Joe also worked with other prominent bands like Andy Kik, Red Saunders, and Coleman Hawkins, who all helped him build his career. Additionally, he played with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra. Besides his credit for being a singer, he worked as an actor. Sadly, he is now deceased.
