JEAN STAPLETON

Jean Stapleton was born in Manhattan, New York City, Jeanne Murray was an American character actress of stage, television and film. She received an honorary degree from Wilson College and received a scholarship in her name. It is the favorite of playwright Horton Foote; she has played many plays in it, Jean Stapleton won various awards as an actress, including three Emmys and two Golden Globe awards.

She will forever be remembered for her role as Edith Bunker in the popular sitcom, All in the Family. She had a colorful acting career with over 60 appearances in movies and TV series including Eleanor, The First Lady of the World, Murder She Wrote and Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. The veteran actress died of natural causes at the ripe age of 90 in 2013. We sure hope her insurance policies are being taken good care of by her finance attorney considering her successful career.
