HEATHER O’ROURKE

Heather Michele O’Rourke is an American child actress. She made her debut after being spotted by director Steven Spielberg while heading to the MGM film studio. Spielberg quickly put her in the horror film “Poltergeist”, playing Carol Anne Freeling, O’Rourke’s performance won Recognized. Throughout his career, O’Rourke has been nominated for the Young Artist Award six times, won for his role in Webster, and participated in three films and twelve TV series.

Heather was a famous child actress notable for her portrayal of Carol Ann Freeling in Spielberg’s Poltergeist. She performed repeated roles in the successive episodes of the film. Unfortunately, the child actress left the world at a very tender age with so many unfulfilled dreams and untapped talents. Following a misdiagnosis and consequent wrong medication, she lost her life at the age of 12. Her family hired a wrongful death attorney who subsequently accused the medical doctors of wrongful death. The case was however settled out of court. Despite her humble beginnings, we are not aware of her family facing bankruptcy after her death.
