JOHN HURT

John Hurt is an English actor. His performance in “Alian” was rated as one of the most memorable moments in film history by many publications. The award-winning English actor Sir John Vincent Hurt had about 5 decades of successful acting under his belt. In 2012, he won the “Lifetime Achievement BAFTA Award” for his “outstanding contribution to film”. He was knighted in 2015 for his contributions in the field of drama.

With his part as Richard Rich in A Man for all Seasons, Sir Hurt rose to prominence. Some of his awards winning movies include Midnight Express and the Elephant Man. Considered one of Britain’s finest actors, Hurt was made Commander of the Order of the British Empire and honored with a BAFTA award. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015 and gave up the ghost in 2017. His life was not marred by any unsavory tales of alcohol, drugs and rehabs.
