ALAN RICKMAN

Alan Rickman will always be known to Harry Potter fans as Professor Severus Snape. Rickman trained at the notable Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, after which he became a prominent part of the Royal Shakespeare Company. The actor went on to star in many films such as Love Actually, Die Hard, the Harry Potter series, and most notably, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which earned him a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in Supporting Role.

Everyone knows that Alan was dedicated to his craft, bringing many beloved characters to life— so it does not come off as a surprise that he is the only actor that made it into the Greatest Villains list twice. By a wicked twist of fate, the English actor and director was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer following a minor stroke, which he suffered in 2015. The cancer claimed his life on January 14, 2016, at the age of 69. All the loans in the world could not keep the legend alive physically, but we all know he continues to live on in the hearts of his fans.
