The name Jerry Lewis is known worldwide. He was an American comedian, singer, actor, film producer, and humanitarian. His career spanned eight decades, and he was nicknamed the “King of Comedy” during his prime. With his films’ global box office revenue exceeding 800 million U.S. dollars, Jerry had won global acclaim for his unique comedy and drama style. As part of the duo with Dean Martin and as a solo actor, he was voted as the best box office film actor in Hollywood from 1951 to 1965.

His career was always filled with polarizing and complicated roles. People can never deny that he was a comedic genius. He had a singular vision and commanded control in his work with Paramount Pictures and other studios. In August 2017, at 91 years old, Jerry died at his home due to end-stage cardiac disease.
