TOM PETTY

The popular American singer and songwriter was the lead in the band Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. Tom Petty had over 80 million records under his belt, ranking him among the best-selling music artists. He was said to have been inspired by The Beatles. He received many praises and credits, including Grammy Awards for Best Rock Vocal Performance and Billboard Century Award. He was also recognized by many artists because of his talents, both in acting and singing.

Unfortunately, Tom was discovered unconscious in his home after suffering a cardiac arrest in the early hours of October 2, 2017. He was rushed to the hospital but gave up the ghost in the evening of the same day. He was 66 years old at the time of his demise. The grief of his bereaved wife, Dana York, and their two children, was featured on television when Dana gave an interview to Billboard.
