NELSON ELLIS

He was an American playwright and actor who achieved fame with his award-winning rendition of Lafayette Renold in True Blood. Actor Nelsan Ellis also starred in the popular TV series, Elementary as Shinwell Johnson. He also portrayed the great Martin Luther King Jr. in a supporting performance in the 2013 historical drama film, The Butler. This film received mostly positive reviews from film critics.

While Nelsan was not a very outspoken man, he had always lived by being respectful as he honored people’s views as long as they do not violate the laws. Unfortunately, the promising actor encountered severe complications from alcohol withdrawal syndrome as he tried to quit drinking on his own. This event resulted in heart failure, which cost him his life on July 8, 2017, at the age of 39. While we all miss him dearly, we hope that his loved ones have benefitted from his investment money and properties.
