RON LESTER – GASTRIC BYPASS

Ron Lester became famous due to his character in the ‘90s movie Varsity Blues. He played the overweight football defense player and reenacted the same character in the teen comedy film Not Another Teen Movie. As he achieves his success playing the fat guy in movies, his obesity takes a toll on his health. Suffering from several health complications led him to decide to have a gastric bypass.

Ron, who weighed about 508 pounds, shed more than 300 pounds. It drastically changed the appearance of the actor and improved his health. He was almost unrecognizable after the changes in his body. Unfortunately, it resulted in the loss of a few projects. Categorized in playing heavyweight characters, Ron lost his edge in the industry. As such, his acting career suffered, which probably affected his credit score. However, Ron still felt thankful as he was able to live a better life until his passing in 2016.
