Once upon a time, Mike Tyson and Robin Givens were in a loving relationship. However, their union eventually ended in separation. In an interview with People Magazine, model and entertainer Robin Givens also shared her response to the news that her ex, Mike Tyson—whom she accused of maltreatment—would be the subject of a biopic starring Jamie Foxx.

Many would remember that Givens petitioned for legal separation eight months after she and Tyson were wed in 1988. Though it took some time, Tyson later confessed his guilt when it comes to her accusations during an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2009. So when Jamie Foxx confirmed his role in the biopic, Givens was naturally concerned—and she made a move to guard herself. She had lawyer Arthur Aidala send Tyson and Foxx a restraining order to forestall any possibly slanderous depiction of herself in the film.
