Gregg Allman

Singer, songwriter, and popular country musician Gregg Allman sadly passed due to liver complications at the age of 69. It was reported that he passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia. Many of the artist’s close friends and acquaintances issued their statements mourning the loss of Allman, some of which include Allman Brothers Band lead guitarist Dickey Betts and Allman’s longtime manager, Michael Lehman.

The artist is also given credit for being one of the founders of the first Southern-rock group, Allman Brothers Band, alongside his brother Duane Allman. Their first studio releases, including their namesake debut album, which was followed by Idlewild South all gained critical and commercial success. The group is also well known for being one of the best live performers, and though there have been many member changes throughout the years, their legacy lives on.
