Cher

At the age of 74, The Goddess of Pop Cherilyn Sarkisian, or otherwise known as Cher, isn’t about to step off of the limelight anytime soon. She is still actively participating in the entertainment industry and continues record music for her fans. Aside from this, Cher has also done some volunteer humanitarian work and she even went over to Pakistan to rescue the world’s loneliest elephant.

She first heard of Kaavan, the Asian bull elephant, through Twitter and from her own followers. She was horrified to see that the elephant had been living in dreadful conditions in the city of Islamabad. Seeing the suffering, made her really determined to help the poor animal, and she accomplished this by bringing it over to an animal sanctuary in Cambodia. For her selfless and humanitarian deed, we have to give the singer much credit.
