Kevin McHale and Austin McKenzie

Kevin McHale is famous for playing Artie Abrams in the hit musical TV show Glee. There was a time when the show wasn’t merely famous; it was all everyone could ever talk about. Normally, being in a musical as huge as Glee was both a privilege and a curse, however, Kevin found the experience fun and relaxing to some degree since he was actually doing something he loves. It took a long time for Kevin to finally figure out who he is and he is proud of how things turned out. The musical supported the LGBT community and it comes to no surprise that Kevin felt the same courage while coming out. He is now happily dating actor Austin McKenzie.

While it was unclear why he waited this long to finally open up about his sexuality, McHale said that just like his boyfriend Austin, he was never hiding his identity, he was just taking it slow and taking one step at a time. The two had no intentions of keeping their relationship private forever. McHale officially came out as gay in 2018, after listening to Ariana Grande’s No Tears Left to Cry and being inspired by it.
