Despite not coming out as bisexual or having any previous relationships with other women, actress Anne Hathaway has been very vocal with her support for the LGBTQ community. Hathaway, who has an older brother who is part of the community, remarked that she’d supported them for years.

Hathaway has received many awards in her career, having received an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and Primetime Emmy Award, and various other nominations that earned her more credit. Her reasons for her support towards the community have been due to several things. To name a few, she’s a big fan of how open they are and how freely they can do what they please. She’s made some comments about them as well, remarking that she loves how energetic, generous, and kind-hearted LGBTQ people are and how they are activists in their own right.
