JENNIFER HUDSON

When asked about speculations surrounding her sexual orientation, actress Jennifer Hudson remarked she finds the opinions of what the people or media think irrelevant in her life. The singer-actress, 32, told the press that she faced that type of scrutiny after she made a public appearance in 2013 at MTV Video Music Awards, alongside Macklemore and Mary Lambert during a performance of the hit marriage equality anthem Same Love.

Despite the backlash, Jennifer remarked that she gives credit to the LGBTQ community’s confidence and independence. As for the enduring LGBT appeal of her Dreamgirls song And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going, she noted that she’s met many gay men, what they’re like, and how it’s part of the connection. The actress gave a final remark saying that it’s a real situation that everyone has to face in their lives.
