American Housewife | ABC | Cancelled After 5 Seasons

American Housewife is a hit television sitcom that aired on ABC in October of 2016. The show, created and written by Sarah Dunn, features the daily life of “Katie Otto.” She’s a wife and a mother who tries to deal with and maintain her family together with her sense of self. She also deals with various pretentious, wealthy, and even arrogant housewives in the town of Westport, Connecticut. American Housewife has been airing for five years, and it’s accumulated a decent fanbase.

That particular fanbase would be incredibly sad when they learn that the show won’t be renewed for a sixth season. ABC decided to cancel and pull the plug on American Housewife in May 2021 due to declining numbers. ABC must’ve done extensive investment planning and figured that their television lineup would be better without including American Housewife in it.
