The Rookie | ABC | Renewed for Season 4

The Rookie is a police procedural drama television series that follows a man in his forties, John Nolan, played by actor Nathan Fillion, who becomes the oldest rookie at the Los Angeles Police Department. Produced by Entertainment One and ABC Studios, it is based on the real-life of officer William Norcross who joined the department in his mid-40s after he moved to Los Angeles in 2015. Its first season premiered in October 2018 until April 2019. Recently, the series was renewed for its fourth season.

It’s a story of a forty-plus man from Pennsylvania who’s newly separated from his spouse and former owner of a construction business with a son in college—perhaps the lead character didn’t need student loans for his son. In one circumstance, Nolan inadvertently helped police officers in the course of a bank robbery. When the dust settled, he then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a policeman in LAPD.
