Survivor | CBS | Renewed for Season 41

Perhaps one of the select few shows in this list that can claim not to need a thorough introduction, the Primetime Emmy Award-winning show, Survivor. The show receives credit for giving birth to a multi-million-dollar franchise spanning multiple languages and countries. 

The show, which premiered on May 31, 2000, was hosted and produced by celebrity host Jeff Probst. Its then-unique premise involves gathering a group of strangers and dropping them off in an isolated location, wherein they must provide their shelter and food. It also features a voting mechanism, where the contestants progressively vote each other out, with the sole winner receiving the grand prize of $1 million. The 20-year-old show has since then received countless renewals, with a total of 40 seasons and over 500 episodes. So now, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the hit television series will receive yet another season. The 41st season will come out in the fall of 2021.
