SEAL Team | CBS | Renewed for Season 5

SEAL Team is a classic military/drama series developed by Benjamin Cavell and produced by CBS Studios. It premiered on CBS on September 27, 2017, with the story focused on an elite unit of the United States Navy SEALs. The ensemble cast consists of David Boreanaz, A.J. Buckley, Toni Trucks, Max Thieriot, Niel Brown Jr., and Jessica Paré.

The series’ release stemmed from the fact that CBS’s previous military drama, Six, earned the network a high degree of popularity and revenue. In early 2017, the production made efforts to lay the foundations for a similar series. To be written and produced by Benjamin Cavell, the new series was titled SEAL Team, and receiving a series order come October 2017, turning the pilot episode into one of 22 episodes in the first season. Not long after the first season’s conclusion, it would receive another season order, effectively greenlighting season 2, with the series continuing until season 4. The series has received yet another season, season 5, airing nationwide through Paramount+.
