Awkwafina Nora from Queens is a scripted comedy series loosely based on the lead actress’s real-life beginnings in Flushing, Queens. The actress, whom the series is named after, Awkwafina, plays the lead character of Nora Lin. She focuses on her family as she navigates young adulthood, having been raised alongside her cousin by her father and grandmother.

You all may know her for her breakthrough role as the best friend of Rachel Chu, Peik Lin giving her most prominent role yet, and she would also later receive the role of the ‘last dragon’ Sisu in Disney’s latest animated film, Raya and the Last Dragon. Not long after Awkwafina is Nora from Queens’s initial release, it would garner much-deserved attention with a mainly positive response, and with it, a degree of success. Now, the show expects to release its second season soon after the resources affected by the pandemic situation regain stability.
