The Daily Show is a late-night conversation and news satire television show from the United States and airs on Comedy Central Monday through Thursday, calling itself a fake news show. It often takes its comedy and satire from recent news topics, political leaders, and media institutions, as well as self-referential humor. First hosted by Craig Kilborn from 1996 to 1998, the mantle was then taken by Jon Stewart, who is often giving credit for shaping the show as it is now, being its host from 1999 to 2015.

The show eventually saw a succession with Trevor Noah, who is currently hosting the show since 2015. Highly popular among younger audiences due to its humor and topics, it has then received multiple awards and spinoffs. Hence, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to know that the series will continue to produce seasons up to 2022.
