Black Lightning | The CW | Aired fourth and final season

It’s bittersweet news for the Black Lightning fans as The CW network announced that the series fourth’s season would be the finale. Black Lightning was first introduced in 2018 and has already aired 58 episodes. The fourth season already aired on February 8, 2021, and bid its fans goodbye on May 24, 2021. Cress Williams, the lead credit, portrayed his Jefferson Pierce and Black Lightning role for the very last time. At the same time, Nafessa Williams, Christine Adams, and China Ann McClain, who gave justice to their characters, also took a bow.

The significant decline of viewership is one of the main factors why the show ended, considering that the first season had an average viewer of 2.74 million. In contrast, the third only had 1.09 million. On the other hand, Rotten Tomatoes gave the series fair scores: 96% for the first, 91, for the second, and 89% for the third.
