Black-ish | ABC | Renewed for Eighth & Final Season
Another highly-celebrated sitcom on ABC’s lineup is black-ish. It’s a television series created by Kenya Barris, which started airing on ABC in September of 2014. The plot features an upper-middle-class African-American family that’s led by Anthony Anderson. The show also features Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Miles Brown, and Marsai Martin. Throughout its seven-year run, the show has received critical acclaim.
Actors in the cast of black-ish have been able to win several awards, including several Golden Globe Awards, Emmy nominations, and a TCA Award. It’s also an undebatable fact that black-ish gained a decent following of avid fans and viewers throughout its seven-season run. Those fans will undoubtedly be thrilled to know that ABC is renewing the show for an eighth and final season. The network deserves a ton of credit for allowing the cast and staff of black-ish to end the show on a proper note without leaving any unanswered questions.
