Riverdale | The CW | Renewed for Season 6

While most remakes, reboots, and adaptations often stay loyal to the source material, that doesn’t mean there haven’t been any new iterations that provide a new twist to its already-established premise.

As risky as it sounds, though, this creative decision has undoubtedly introduced the world to plenty of popular shows. Among them would be CW’s Riverdale, a series revolving around characters based on the beloved Archie Comics. Despite the source material’s often light-hearted and comedic nature, Riverdale goes for a more serious teen-drama approach. Initially planned as a movie, it premiered as a series back in 2017 and, with credits to the show’s cast and crew, garnered widespread praise and recognition. Since then, it has released four subsequent seasons, with the recent one premiering recently in January 2021. Just after a month, however, Riverdale was renewed for a sixth season. The titular town and its citizens’ story is far from over.
