Call Your Mother | ABC | Cancelled After One Season

Call Your Mother is a television sitcom created by Kari Lizer. The sitcom started broadcasting on ABC on January 2021 as a midseason sitcom entry in the 2021-2021 television season. The show featured acting performances from Kyra Sedgwick, Joey Bragg, Austin Crute, Rachel Sennott, and Patrick Brammall. Call Your Mother focuses on a story about an empty nest mother who moved to Los Angeles, California, from Waterloo, Iowa, in order to be close to her children.

Five months later, Call Your Mother was canceled after airing for just one season. ABC must’ve figured out through extensive investment planning that the show wasn’t worth giving another shot. The first season of Call Your Mother averaged sub-par ratings and a viewer count of about 2.425 million. Despite the sub-par performance, we weren’t expecting ABC to pull the plug on the show after just a single season.
