Parker Schnabel is a reality TV personality and literal gold miner. He is widely recognized as the star of the reality shows Gold Rush and its spin-off Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail. Schnabel was born in Alaska and has been engaged to his grandfather’s Big Nugget, a mining company. He was booked to get a degree in geology or mining, but he shelved that idea, took his college trust fund, and pursued the journey as a miner.

In his first year in mining, Schnabel unearthed 1,029 oz of gold. At the age of 24, Schnabel has already mined $13 million worth of gold. Presumably, he has a credit card coated in gold. His reported net worth in 2020 was $8 million comprising his job as a miner and his salary of $25,000 per episode as a TV star in Discovery Channel.
